Super Smash retro shirts selling out

The Dream11 Super Smash’s trip back to the future is proving to be a winner with cricket fans across the nation!

Over half of the brand new retro themed Super Smash shirts have already been snapped up by fans less than 48 hours after going on sale on Tuesday.

All 12 Dream11 Super Smash teams unveiled a brand new retro shirt for the 2024-25 Super Smash season, each one inspired by the domestic teams of the 90s and early 2000s playing in the Cricket Max and one-day domestic competitions.

The retro kits were designed and produced in collaboration with NZC’s domestic apparel partner, Dynasty Sport, following an initial idea sparked by Dynasty and NZC’s six Major Associations.

The teams will wear the shirts in selected games throughout the competition, which begins at Seddon Park on Boxing Day.

NZC GM Marketing & Communications Stacey Geraghty urged fans to get in quick to secure their own retro shirt for the new season.

“It’s clear from the sales over the last 48 hours that the new retro shirts are a winner with Super Smash fans around the country,” said Geraghty.

“Retro is very much in right now and we hope that the new kits will spark memories from the old days and inspire a new wave of Super Smash fans.

“We’re experiencing a real buzz in the interest of our T20 marquee domestic competition, and across all cricket in New Zealand, and we hope the retro campaign will add a new level of excitement ahead of the competition kicking off on Boxing Day.

“We’re looking forward to seeing fans sporting their side’s retro shirt on the banks of grounds across the country this summer!”

The Super Smash retro shirts are available for purchase at www.dynastysport.co.nz, with a pre-Christmas shipping cut-off date of December 19.

While stock is selling fast online, fans will also be able to purchase men’s and women’s retro shirts directly through each of the six NZC Major Associations later in the month and in-venue at Super Smash matches across the country.
