England left-arm spin bowler Kirstie Gordon is linking up again with the Otago Sparks for their Dream11 Super Smash campaign.
Gordon previously played for the Sparks during the 2022/23 season, and brings a wealth of experience.
Otago Sparks Head Coach Craig Cumming and his selectors said they were keen to bring in an overseas player this season as they felt there would be several benefits in having a more experienced player in the squad.
Gordon captains the UK's Blaze, a team based at Trent Bridge, and was the leading wicket-taker in the Charlotte Edwards T20 competition which the Blaze won this year.
Cumming will become the Blaze's Head Coach at the conclusion of the Super Smash.
Gordon also captained Englad A in New Zealand late last season, previously represented her native Scotland, and provides a point of difference to the Sparks' regular attack.
Cumming said she's an experienced cricketer who is keen to not only play, but share her cricket experience and knowledge with the full squad.
“Kirstie brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and performance to the Sparks team," he said.
"We enjoyed having Kirstie as part of the team two years ago, and we're looking forward to her arrival for this season."
Gordon touches down in New Zealand on 21 December, and will be available for the team's first Dream11 Super Smash match against the Canterbury Magicians, in Alexandra on 27 December.
