Blaze recruits another Aussie

Former Australian international and Sydney Thunder rep Hannah Darlington has previously represented the Otago Sparks in the Dream11 Super Smash - the defending champion Blaze's biggest threat this summer.

Now the powerful 23-year-old's in action for Wellington Blaze, switching colours and allegiances since her last appearance in the competition, as a youngster in 2019/20.

Darlington now has 92 wickets from her Women's Big Bash career with a career best of 5/10, and 13 wickets from her previous stint on this side of the Tasman.

She joined the Blaze ahead of today's big game in Auckland against the Hearts, and is on board with the team for the Finals - for which the Wellingtonians are already qualified.

The Finals weekend is at the Cello Basin Reserve this weekend, and tickets are on sale now.
